Our widgets (Review Score, Tree Counter, and Forest Widget) are embedded in your website using JavaScript code. We take privacy very seriously and adhere to the following principles:

We do not store any personal visitor data and anonymize IP addresses immediately after collection
We do not use cookies
We do not load external fonts (such as Google Fonts)
No data is loaded from external review platforms. Reviews from Google and other review platforms are cached on our servers
Our servers are located in Frankfurt

We use a CDN (Content Delivery Network) called Cloudflare, which ensures that the widgets on your site can be loaded quickly from anywhere in the world. The data is loaded from servers in close proximity to the visitor's location. This means that, for example, data for an American website visitor may be loaded from American servers. An adequate level of data protection is ensured by an adequacy decision of the EU Commission, which is available for the USA here. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF).

There's also an advantage for your website visitors when you use ReviewForest widgets. All reviews are cached on our servers. This means no direct connection is established between your visitors and review platforms like Google.

ReviewForest Widgets

On our website, we use widgets from ReviewForest GmbH, Großbeerenstr. 11, 10963 Berlin, Germany. These widgets (Review Score, Tree Counter, and Forest Widget) display reviews from various platforms and the number of trees planted.

The ReviewForest widgets are elements embedded in our website that display dynamic information. When our webpage is accessed, a connection is established with ReviewForest's servers to display up-to-date content. ReviewForest receives technical data (access data), including the user's IP address, which is anonymized immediately after collection. The anonymized data is stored for a maximum of 7 days and used only for statistical purposes and error analysis.

ReviewForest uses Cloudflare's Content Delivery Network (CDN) for fast, worldwide delivery of the widgets. Depending on the visitor's location, data may also be processed outside the EU. An adequate level of data protection is ensured by Cloudflare's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF).

Data processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, to present our users with current information about the quality of our services and our commitment to sustainability. ReviewForest implements technical and organizational security measures to protect the data.

We are jointly responsible with ReviewForest for data processing in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR. Users can assert their data subject rights directly against ReviewForest.
