How to add widgets to Squarespace
We will guide you through the process of installing ReviewForest widgets on your Squarespace website. These widgets, such as the popular review score widget and the tree counter widget, are a great way to enhance your website's functionality and aesthetic. This article will be divided into two parts:
Installing a widget in a fixed position
Installing a widget as a default floating widget on any page

Step 1: Choose Your Widget
Head over to the ReviewForest platform, select the widget you'd like to use on your website. For the purposes of this guide, we'll focus on the review score widget.
Step 2: Customization
Customize your widget according to your preference, including its color and whether you'd like to include a "write a review" button.
Step 3: Generate Code
Choose "fixed position" as the widget placement. Click on "next install on website". You'll receive a JavaScript code snippet. Copy this code.
Step 4: Insert Code into Squarespace
Go to your Squarespace site editor. Click on the "+" icon to add a new block, then choose the "Code" block. Paste the code you copied into the block and save the changes.
Step 5: Save and Check
Click "Save" on the top left of the Squarespace editor and check your website to see the new review score widget in your chosen fixed position.

Choose the widget you'd like to add as a floating widget from the ReviewForest platform.
Step 2: Customization
Customize your widget according to your preference. You can add the ReviewForest icon and the logos of the review platforms here.
Step 3: Generate Code
Choose "floating" as the widget's position. Decide whether you'd like the widget to appear on the bottom left or right of your page. Then, generate the JavaScript code snippet and copy it.
Step 4: Insert Code into Squarespace
Go to your Squarespace site editor and navigate to Settings > Developer Tools > Code Injection. Paste the code into the "Footer" box.
Step 5: Save and Check
Click "Save" on the top left of the Squarespace editor and navigate to any page on your site to see the floating widget in action.
